5 Things You Need to Know About Rebooting Your Computer
Why do you need to do it?
Flushes RAM (Random Access Memory…your computer’s main type of memory). This type of memory is constantly in flux which makes it more unstable.
Speeds Up Performance. It keeps your computer running a lot faster.
Stops Memory Leaks. These happen when a program you were running doesn’t close properly. Most programs we run borrow RAM and return it when we close the program. However, there are times when this doesn’t happen which causes memory leaks.
Bug Fixes. The longer you go without rebooting your computer the more likely it is that your computer gets more bugs and glitches. These cause your programs to run slower and may cause your computer to freeze up.
Saves Time. Rebooting is the quickest and easiest way you can fix an error. Just think about how nice it would be to turn on your computer first thing in the morning and not have to wait 5+ minutes for everything to load properly.
